Strivena does not have a server that stores your health data. Your workouts, food logs, weight, readiness scores, and soreness check-ins live only on your device. We never see them, sell them, or use them to train anything.
Profile (goal, experience, equipment, schedule); training plan, workout history, sets, personal records; food logs, water intake, macro targets; weight, soreness check-ins, and the readiness scores computed from them; notification preferences.
All of this is stored locally and processed by a deterministic algorithm that also runs entirely on your device. There is no account required to use Strivena's core features, and no copy of this data is transmitted anywhere by default.
Settings → "Export my data" writes a single JSON file and hands it to you directly — via your device's native share sheet on iOS, or a normal file download on the web. Nothing is uploaded to us in that process. You can re-import that file later, on this device or a new one. If you delete Strivena without exporting first, that data is gone — we don't keep a copy, so we can't recover it for you either.
When you search for a food or scan a barcode, the search term or barcode may be sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve public product information. Strivena does not attach your profile, device health data, or food diary to these requests. Product data is community-provided and may be incomplete; verify nutrition against the package label. Food data is provided by Open Food Facts under its terms of use.
When you message Vena, the specific question you ask plus the minimum plan/readiness context needed to answer it is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply. Your full workout history, food diary, and biometrics are never sent — only the day's summary data shown to you in the app. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models under our API agreement with them.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Strivena does not register a remote push token. Camera access is used only for barcode scanning; Strivena does not record audio or save barcode camera images.
Subscription purchases are handled directly by Apple. Apple may process store account, transaction, app, and device information needed to provide and restore Strivena+ access. Strivena's code never receives your payment-card details, and it does not send your workout, food, weight, or soreness logs with a purchase.
Because there's no server copy of your data, "deleting your account" and "deleting the app" are the same action from a data standpoint. Settings → "Start over" clears everything on this device immediately, in-app, with no waiting period. Export first if you want to keep a copy.
